The Chamber of Online Payment and Mobile Money Operators (COPMO) is an organization at the forefront of Ghana’s rapidly evolving digital financial landscape. We are a
unified body representing the interests of online payment and mobile money operators, dedicated
to ensuring the sustainable growth and development of the fintech sector in Ghana. COPMO’s
establishment aligns perfectly with the vision for a digitized and inclusive economy, recognizing
the transformative potential of digital finance to drive economic growth, improve financial
inclusion, and create jobs.

COPMO is deeply invested in empowering Ghana’s youth. Through a strategic partnership with
the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), we are actively working to create sustainable job
opportunities within the digital finance sector. This collaboration focuses on training young
Ghanaians in crucial areas such as mobile money agent operations, customer service, software
development, cybersecurity, and digital marketing, equipping them with the skills needed to
thrive in this dynamic industry.

Beyond job creation, COPMO plays a crucial role in shaping Ghana’s digital finance landscape.
We are committed to addressing key industry challenges, including interoperability issues,
cybersecurity threats, and the need for a robust regulatory framework. By working closely with
regulatory bodies like the Bank of Ghana (BOG) and the National Communications Authority
(NCA), we contribute to shaping policies that foster innovation while ensuring consumer
protection and financial stability.

COPMO is spearheading a transformative agenda in digital finance, offering faster, more secure,
accessible, and seamless payment transfer services. Our key initiatives aim to foster a trusted,
efficient, and inclusive financial ecosystem while addressing critical issues such as cyber fraud,
money laundering, and infrastructure challenges. We are focused on enhancing payment
efficiency and speed, strengthening cybersecurity and AML measures, expanding financial
access with affordable payment kiosks, and fostering industry collaboration and public
awareness.
